Entry Level CAD Designer
LocationUS-Iowa-DavenportDate Posted04 Jun 2018 Cobham is seeking an Entry Level CAD Designer to assist with our growing need for the design and development of aerospace and defense products. This position is located in Davenport, IA. Key Responsibilities:With supervision, design components, systems, and equipment (mechanical or electrical) using 3D modeling CAD software.Create drawings of parts and assemblies.With guidance, select hardware and other standard components for new designs.Assign tolerance of specific parts per prescribed standards.Participate in design review as necessary.May write engineering change orders to improve designs.May convert other drawing formats in Pro-E or AutoCAD software format.Research parts and components to ensure accuracy.Design products using Tolerance Analysis software.Use computer to accomplish responsibilities.Perform all operations according to prescribed safety principles. Minimum Requirements:Diploma/Associates degree in Mechanical Design (CAD/Pro-E) or 2 years of 3D solid modeling experience.Proficient in the use of Pro-E.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Ability to analyze and solve complex problems.Proficient computer system skills (Windows OS).This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by export laws of the US. In order to be eligible you must be either a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
